Open Air Yoga Classes
Yoga in the Field
Enjoy open-air yoga classes, led by the city’s top instructors.
Classes are 45 minutes long, and will be held in the grass, beneath an open-air canopy.
Please bring your own mat. Limited availability of extra mats.
Classes are FREE for festival attendees, but you may secure your space with a $3 donation to Lavender in the Village.
Pre-registration available for online ticket buyers.

All levels Iyengar Yoga . Experience the transformative effects of this vibrant and dynamic, accessible, classical form of yoga rooted in the lineage of Iyengar Yoga. Famous for its rigor, alignment, and also therapeutics, the Iyengar method is an precise and in-depth embodied spiritual practice. Explore new terrain within your own body-mind to access to what is beyond body and mind. For all levels, beginners and seasoned students welcome. Class will include both active poses and relaxation.

11:30AM: MORNING KUNDALINI
A very simple and safe Kundalini Yoga class involving working with dormant energy within to awaken yourself to a higher state of being and more happiness. The class is comprised of pranayama (breath exercises), simple postures and mantra (chanting). This class is for all levels and can even be done sitting in a chair. Come experience what so many are talking about and raise your Kundalini with a 27 year veteran of this practice.

12:30PM: INTRODUCTION TO ASHTANGA
A sampling of the postures of the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga-Yoga Chikitsa. The Primary Series is the foundational sequence of Ashtanga Yoga known as “Yoga Chikitsa,” or Yoga Therapy. This traditional sequence is a meditative and healing progression of precise movement and deep postures and is considered to be the most foundational and challenging of yoga practices! Join Ashtanga Teacher Joanna Darlington for this introductory look at a sampling of the postures of the the primary series and a deep focus on conscious breathing.
